LocalKiteSpots.com Advertising
LocalKiteSpots.com offers several ways for you to "get on the map". Unlike standard magazine (paper or e-zine) ads that are read once and discarded. Visitors return our maps again and again to find out about current, and forecast weather conditions, making our weather maps an ideal way to continually display your brand.
We've developed a simple, flexible advertising program that allows you fully control your ads, and even keep it up-to-date with your latest offers.
Our highly "localized" content allows you to address local kiters in a unique and memorable way. Each map in N. America is developed to a specific state, province or region. In the rest of the world, maps are country based.
Advertising Space
Within LocalKiteSpots, there are four ad locations, and three types of ads image sizes.

| Spot Ad | An image, that appears in the pop-up window of a spot. This is an ideal placement for a local shop, or school that teaches at a specific spot. | 180x80 image | 1 spot ads is displayed rotated with other spot ads, and spot contributors. |
Ad Rotation
When the number of advertisers exceed the space we've allocated, ads will be rotated, based on the type of ad. For example, page ads will be rotated with other page ads. Rotation helps all advertisers, by keeping advertising sections changing, it draws attention to ads.
Map Sample
Here's a sample Ontario map, highlighting the available advertising space. We display no more than 8 page ads, and 1 Leaderboard ad, and 1 Righthand Bar ad.
When a user clicks a spot, spot ads are displayed. Users click on the map spots to get view the wind and snow forecasts for that specific spot. On average, over the past year, each user clicks on 2 or 3 spots per visit. Each spot displays a single spot ad, in rotation with other spot ads and sport ads.
Your Ads On Other Sites - Embedded Maps
LocalKiteSpots.com maps can be embedded in other web sites. This allows other forums, or local web sites to quickly incorportate our world class Google maps and weather directly into their sites in a matter of minutes.
Spot ads, are included with these embedded maps. Your spot or sport ad will be displayed when a user clicks the spot on the map. This allows you get "free" advertising on other websites.

Ad Hosting and Updates
All ads are contained in images. You can use simple .GIF animation. Your ad image can be hosted on LocalKiteSpots.com, just e-mail it along and we'll post it for you.
Optionally, send us a link to an image on your web site. By hosting your own adversting images, you can change your ad anytime you like. For example in the winter highlight snowkiting products, in the summer highlight kitesurfing.
