Featured Spot[/url]Warm water in the summer, great on SW but can be used on any west wind. Rocky beach. Launch is a little small but as big as Cherry.?$3.50 per person park admission/ day. Camp sites available.
In an effort to respect beach users & swimmers, local kiters have established a 'Kite LZ' - the area that is within 30m of the beach that is the immediate radius from the beach access stairs that are at the Pump Station (at the Pavilion past the washrooms), commonly referred to as "The Point". Watch out for sharp rocks in the shallow water. Booties are recommended.
Kiters can enter the water west of the point riding out into the 'bay' area. If you are kiting in front of the swimming area, please maintain a distance of 100m from the shore.
We ask that kiters respect this zone and these rules to ensure that beach users are not negatively impacted by our presence.
If you are unsure, please ask a kiter (rather than have them placed in the awkward situation of having to tell you).
