-largest manmade lake in nj. North to West wind works because safe shoreline is on the southeastern section of lake. Can be gusty, but when its on its on. swim in water launch from western boat ramp has been done successfully multiple times. Going upwind from southeast shore is optimal. Southeast beach has trees.
