Sherwood Island State Park: Park rangers are kite friendly in the off season. Beaches too crowded in the summer.

Best Wind direction: SW, South, East, and NE all work well. NW on-shore winds make for good kite mountain boarding on the trails behind the beach.

Direction: Exit 18 off I-95

Rules and regulations:Off-season only
