Water: Flat water bay surrounded by Marsh Islands. Sandy bottom with some weed patches in late summer, but never to bad. Clear water and warmest spot in the Great Lakes, especially in the spring. Average water depth 2-4 feet for miles. No current. Perfectly flat water behind the many swan slicks upwind of the launch.

Wind: Works on any wind with West in it. Warm Southerly winds always peak from 2-5 pm due to thermal enhancement. Best wind is in spring. Best directions: SSW thru NW. Mainly used kite size: 12-16 sqm.
