Spot Details

Sand/gravel beach that becomes deep at a gradual pace. Still able to stand up from 30 to 40 feet out. Experiences swell and chop more so than waves, although decent waves will form on a good NW wind.

Works with N, NW and WNW winds. Too much west can prove difficult to tack upwind back to shore as eastern side has shoreline present running north-south as part of man-made structure leading into Port Weller.

Boat launch and rock break-walls present along eastern side, stay away from that area or risk not being able to tack back to beach.

Can work for beginners as well as intermediates. Be mindful of power lines with direct onshore winds, despite their relatively safe distance from shoreline.
